My sincere hope is that one day we live in a world that eventually bestows respect and equality on each and every person. With that way of thinking becoming the norm on a global scale. Let us continue to educate ourselves and others on the importance of equality and inclusivity, so that future generations can live in a world where everyone is valued and respected.
Kenny Simmons
Music has always been a part of my life. It's amazing how you can conceive something in your mind and bring it to life for everyone to hear.
I feel privileged to be able to contribute to society and the musical world with my creations. This is my personal tribute to the power of music and its ability to connect people from all walks of life.
I heard the voice of GOD.
He spoke to me and said,
"Arise my Sagittarian, and tell them you are my messenger.
Go forth Sagittarian and let them see the message within the music." It was a profound moment that left me feeling humbled and blessed.
When I release a new album, I become a storyteller, hoping that people get the most intimate and heart filled emotions that I have tenderly placed in every song.
"Let It Flow." With such magical producing, engineering, musicianship and mastering, it's no wonder that I feels this is the crowning achievement of my musical career.
"PARADISE"
We had the pleasure of meeting and working with Charlie Calello thanks to our friend Jerry LaGuardia. As a favor, he came into the studio and arranged the horn section for our song "Paradise".
Charlie is a renowned musical arranger who has worked on many popular hits such as "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond, "Native New Yorker" by Odyssey, "My Heart Belongs to Me" by Barbra Streisand, and "After the Lovin'" by Engelbert Humperdinck and The Four Season catalog of hits.
Bobby Wells and I began writing songs in 2002, and one of our most beloved hits was a beautiful ballad called
"A Moment In Time." We had high hopes for this song and sent it off to the legendary Clive Davis. He called us back and seemed interested, but unfortunately, he didn't bite.
Despite our disappointment, we held onto the recording of his voicemail for years to remind ourselves that we had a viable team, writing songs together. Helping in production also Alfred Nattoli and Sharman Howe.
I had the pleasure of recording a dance hit called "Body Mechanic" while leading the group "Quadrant Six" for Atlantic Records. It was an amazing experience working with Producer John Robie and my lifelong friend,
Mr. Emil Innocenti. The song became a favorite among New York D.J.s and could be heard at all the local clubs. "Body Mechanic" even charted at #44 on Billboard.
"Everybody Get Off" is an amazing song written by Kenny Simmons and Robert Stasiak from the group "DAYBREAK." I love the energy and vibe of this song! The late Patrick Adams, a true musical genius and my mentor, produced it. He was an incredible music arranger and record producer, and I feel so fortunate to have learned everything about production and producing from him. Thank you, Patrick, for your amazing talent and for sharing your knowledge with me. Your legacy will live on forever.
